CLOSE OUT PUBLIC HEARING
DCEO SMALL BUSINESS LOANS

The County of Adams will hold a closeout public hearing on Friday, July 23rd, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Adams County Courthouse in Courtroom 2D to report outcomes and provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the program activities and performance of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Downstate Small Business Stabilization (DSBS) grants funded through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. This program is funded by Title 1 of the federal Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
Persons with disabilities or non-English speaking persons who wish to attend the public hearing and need assistance should contact the County Clerk’s Office – 507 Vermont Street, Quincy, IL – 217-277-2150 no later than Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Every effort will be made to make reasonable accommodations for those persons.
The total amount of funds awarded to address the needs of the businesses due to the COVID-19 emergency was $32,500 and was used to assist the following businesses with working capital needs: Terstriep Concrete & Excavating and Schmidt Tent Rental
All interested citizens are invited to provide comments either at the public hearing or by prior written statement, which can be sent to the email listed above or mailed to “County Clerk’s Office at countyclerk@co.adams.il.us or 507 Vermont St., Quincy, IL. 62301” no later than Wednesday, July 21, 2021 to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public hearing proceedings. This grant-funded project resulted in no displacement of any persons or businesses.
