NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ):
PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING SERVICES
Richfield Quarry Bridge Replacement
The County of Adams invites qualified professional engineering firms to submit their Statements of Interest and
Qualifications for preliminary engineering services (Phase I and Phase II) for the removal and replacement of a bridge
(SN 001-3169) carrying TR 350A across McCraney Creek, south of Richfield, Illinois.
The Adams County Highway Department will accept sealed proposals submitted to the Office of the County Engineer,
101 North 54th Street, Quincy, Illinois, 62305, until 4:00 pm Thursday September 29, 2022.

The County of Adams reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any and all proposals. The County of

The Adams County Highway Department is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the 247 miles of roadways on the County Highway System.
The County Highway Department also prepares plans, specifications and estimates for all bridges and culverts to be built by the County, or by any of the 22 Road Districts within the County and supervise the construction of all these bridges and culverts.
The County Highway Department advises the Highway Commissioners of the 22 Road Districts in the County as to the best methods of construction of new roads and the repair or maintenance of 1, 159 miles of Road District roads.
In addition to the duties associated with roads in Adams County, the Adams County Highway Department also maintains the Adams County Geographic Information System and administers the Floodplain Program .
